I love Twitter. Maybe too much. There are a couple of kind people in my twitosphere who even tweeted to me to take it easy:

jtotherow: methinks @twericneeds to sloooooow dooooown on the tweets. Perhaps a soothing bubblebath and a caffeine reduction? :) |
They were right. Good people too. But even so, I was following (and still am) people who tweeted WAY more than I. Perhaps their tweets were less *ahem* caffeinated, but I get excited when I am sharing cool stuff on a cool app. (Oh yes, it's my inner nerd: tweet, tweet, puff inhaler.)
Add to that Twitter addiction my recent Facebook profile. OMG. I never, ever, used to think or feel "OMG" but now I do. OMG--I spent untold hours on Facebook, at first, looking a pics, connecting with old friends, and editing my profile: I'm a fan of Wonder Showzen. Such a cult, irreverent predilection. Anyway, I skipped food for Facebook. Luckily, after a day or two, another Twitter friend was right about Facebook:
mfrancone @tweric the novelty does wear off, at least it's not as distracting to me as it was at first ;-) 9:04 AM Dec 12th, 2008 from mobile web in reply to tweric
So, yeah, maybe I have an addictive personality when it comes to social media. Because in a month's span, I've gone from one to three blogs, one to two websites, and one (LinkedIn) to six social media profiles, including FriendFeedand SocialMedian.
And now there is a battle. Which website gets Eric's face time? Do I look at Twitter? Or a Twitter tool? Do I stick to FriendFeed? Or do I hover over SocialMedian? It's like picking a favorite child! If only I had a Joseph in an amazing techno-colored dream coat--the decision would be so easy.
Well, my ADD might just leave me happy skipping around; nonetheless, I'm tipping my hat to SocialMedian *fanfare* as my early 2009 favorite.
I like that some Twitterers feed there tweets to SocialMedian (SM) anyway, and you can send your SM comments and News Flashes to Twitter too. Just be careful. I'm lucky my Twitter peeps are keeping me honest:

Aren't some people just wonderful? And that's the real key to all social media: keeping it real and keeping it human.
So, human, which website is getting your face time?
